In an operation carried out on Thursday evening, police seized 21 kilograms of gold from Budhanilkantha in Kathmandu.
According to the police, a team from the Crime Investigation Office, Teku conducted the operation and the gold was recovered from Budhanilkantha.
Several individuals have been taken into custody in connection with the seizure. Police have not yet, however, disclosed the identities of those arrested or any charges they might face.
Police stated that additional details about the arrested individuals and their connection to the gold seizure would be shared at a press conference scheduled for Friday.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police are working to establish how the gold ended up in the suspects’ possession.
