The Executive Committee of Road Board Nepal approved this toll system on September 28, 2026, and it was published in the Nepal Gazette on April 9, 2026. The government established regulations to implement these tolls on the Nagdhunga-Naubise section.

Important Note:
Toll amounts vary depending on whether vehicles are entering or exiting Kathmandu. For instance, light vehicles pay Rs 65 to enter and Rs 60 to exit, while buses and trucks pay Rs 260 to enter and Rs 200 to exit. Multi-Axle Trucks and Heavy Equipment incur the highest charges at Rs 600 to enter and Rs 250 to exit.

Motorists should identify their vehicle category and the corresponding toll before using the tunnel, as this marks a new phase of road usage with toll fees. This will add to the costs of traveling between Kathmandu and Naubise.
