All 13 individuals on board, including both passengers and crew, emerged without injury following an incident where one of the plane’s rear wheels became detached during landing at Jufal Airport in Dolpa district.
This occurrence took place at approximately 8:25 AM this morning when the plane, arriving from Nepalgunj, touched down on the airstrip. During the landing, the rear-right wheel came loose from its assembly.
Dolpa District Police Office’s DSP Anil Raj Giri issued a statement confirming the situation: “According to the police, all 13 individuals on board, comprising 7 foreigners and 6 Nepalis (11 males and 2 females), are unharmed.”
Included among those unharmed were foreign tourists who had been trekking through Dolpa’s mountainous region with their guide prior to their flight.
“It was just a minor incident. Everyone has safely disembarked,” remarked Junu Hamal Dhakal, the Chief District Officer of Dolpa.
The aircraft remained on the runway while technical teams conducted safety checks and mechanical evaluations in preparation for reopening the airstrip. Emergency responders and aviation technicians are currently managing the situation to ensure that regular airport operations can resume smoothly.
