A fire broke out at Dobhan Bazar in Ward 3 of Meringden Rural Municipality in Taplejung. It damaged 10 houses in the market area. According to local authorities, seven of these houses were completely burned down, while three others suffered serious damage. Emergency teams worked together to put out the fire.
When the fire was reported, teams from the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force (1st Kanchanjungha Battalion), and local police rushed to help, bringing fire engines with them. These fire engines helped to control the spread of the fire in the market area.
Chief District Officer Umesh Kumar Dahal stated that the quick actions of the security forces and local people helped to manage the situation and prevent any injuries or further damage.
