A school in Kathmandu has accepted 132 children who were affected by the recent Bhotekoshi flood.
Sunita Dangol, the acting mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, revealed that 132 kids who were affected by the Bhotekoshi flood and are seeking shelter in Kathmandu have begun attending the Gitamata School in Dallu.
Teachers should teach the kids with compassion, Dangol said, as words and deeds could cause them greater harm.
The pupils are staying at the Yellow Monastery in Nagarjun, and officials from the Department of Education, the city’s executive members, and people’s representatives visited the school to support them.
Some of the 132 students have experienced the loss of both parents. In addition to handling school bags and clothing, Koshish Nepal also offers these youngsters emotional treatment. In a similar vein, LRI School has started offering these children transportation so they can be picked up and dropped off at the shelter.
According to school principal Hari Krishna Shrestha, counseling is being used to gradually return them to normal. In RSS
