Infrastructure Minister vows to fix roads damaged due to floods by October. At a press conference, the Minister said that the government will do its best to restore the infrastructure which had been heavily damaged due to rain and floods.
As he said, “Our first priority is to assure connectivity and safety of our citizens. All available efforts are being made to restore the infrastructure by the end of October.”
The minister further elaborated on the difficulties which may arise in the process of repairment of the roads. The difficulty lies in the damage sustained, the logistics involved, and most importantly, the finance required to repair the roads.
Both the locals and tourists residing in the affected zones were relieved by the decision of the government, as they hoped that the repair work would be done on time so as to bring things back to normal. The minister appealed to the citizens for patience and cooperation as the government was trying its best to solve the matter.
