
Police in eastern Nepal’s Udayapur district seized 182 kilograms of illegal marijuana today as part of their ongoing fight against drugs. They also arrested three individuals for smuggling drugs in Dhankuta district on Saturday evening.
During a raid based on a tip, officers found the 182 kg of marijuana stored in plastic sacks hidden away. The police have taken all the marijuana and are working to find the smugglers responsible for bringing it into the area.

At the Mulghat checkpoint, police stopped an electric vehicle coming from Itahari to Tehrathum and arrested two young men, aged 22 and 24. They found 1.23 grams of a brown heroin-like substance and some hidden drug tablets under the seats.
At the home of a 21-year-old named Pragat Rai in Shahidbhumi Rural Municipality, police discovered 290 Tramol capsules and 290 Spasmo Proxyvon tablets.
The three men are now in custody at the District Police Office in Dhankuta while investigations continue.
