Russia and Ukraine keep exchanging deadly drone and missile strikes without stopping. People continue to die in these back-and-forth attacks. This shows that air warfare is becoming more intense, even as diplomatic efforts grow stronger before possible peace talks.
Both countries’ regional officials report that overnight attacks killed four people in Ukraine and six in Russia and Russian-controlled areas.
Deaths Rise Across Ukrainian Regions
Two women died in southeastern Ukraine when Russian missiles and drones destroyed their home in Zaporizhzhia. In northeastern Sumy, two more civilians were killed in another Russian attack.

In Kyiv, Moscow also attacked capital buildings. The strikes hurt some civilians and caused fires at a storage facility in the Boryspil area. According to the Russian Defence Ministry, the attacks aimed to damage data centers, which would hurt local communications.
In response, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy asked international partners to strengthen defenses and place stronger economic penalties on Russia.
“Our partners must understand this: Russia grows more aggressive every day. If the Kremlin chooses to increase its violence, the world must take stronger steps to stop the conflict from spreading.”

Ukraine’s Long-Range Drones Attack Russian Oil Facilities
Ukrainian forces also continued their long-range drone strikes against Russian energy infrastructure and supply routes.
Krasnodar’s regional governor, Veniamin Kondratyev, said a Ukrainian drone attack killed three people, injured two, and started fires at two industrial sites, including a major oil refinery.
Zaporozhye: Yevgeny Balitsky, an official appointed by Moscow, reported that Ukrainian attacks during the night killed three people in the area under US-led control.
Diplomatic Efforts During Rising Tensions
This tragic incident happens as a new round of international talks begins to try to end the conflict. Ukraine has stated that the Americans recently proposed a three-way diplomatic meeting between U.S., Ukrainian, and Russian officials in the United Arab Emirates. However, even as both sides increase their long-range bombing operations, no real progress has been made yet.
