The Mumbai Police have sealed a hotel room in Andheri East, where two men, suspected in the firing incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff, reportedly stayed.
Room number 201 at RR Residency in the Chakala area is now a key focus in the investigation. According to police reports, the Crime Branch has collected documents, the hotel’s booking register, clothing, and a small bag belonging to the suspects.
Investigators are examining these items to trace the suspects’ movements and understand what occurred during their hotel stay.
Suspects Used False Identities
The two suspects, identified in reports as Rehan Ansari and Phool Singh, allegedly checked into the hotel on October 14 and stayed until the afternoon of October 18.
They reportedly booked the room using Aadhaar card details with different names. Hotel manager Vikrant Paswan mentioned that the guests sent identification photos via WhatsApp and requested staff to print them for the booking.
The suspects left without checking out or informing hotel staff of their departure. When staff tried to reach them, their phone numbers were turned off.
Police have seized the hotel records and are investigating how the room was booked.
Investigation into Alleged Gun Misfire
Another aspect of the investigation involves an alleged accidental gun discharge inside the hotel room.
According to police reports, one of the pistols had jammed during a shooting practice session outside Mumbai. The suspects allegedly tried to remove a stuck bullet upon returning to the hotel, which led to an accidental discharge.
Media reports differ on whether the bullet hit the wall or the bed. Police are looking into this incident.
Hotel staff reported they did not hear any gunshots during the guests’ stay. Authorities are also trying to locate the shooting practice site and recover the firearms believed to be involved.
CCTV Footage Captures Suspects’ Movements
Investigators have obtained CCTV footage showing the suspects leaving the hotel through a rear exit around 4:12 p.m. on October 18, just hours before the firing incident in Mumbai’s Juhu area.
The footage is being analyzed to track their movements and identify any other individuals involved. Reports indicate that a third suspect was also seen on the hotel premises.
Police are investigating where the suspects went before the shooting and whether their movements point to additional locations or evidence relevant to the case.
Ongoing Investigation into Tiger Shroff Firing Incident
The firing incident at Tiger Shroff’s residence in Juhu on October 18 has led to an ongoing investigation by the Mumbai Police. The hotel stay is one of many leads being examined to clarify the events surrounding the incident.
Investigators are still analyzing CCTV footage, booking records, and other materials found at the hotel. The alleged misfire and the location of the firearms are crucial questions in this inquiry.
Allegations against the suspects have not yet been confirmed by a final court ruling. The police are continuing their investigation to determine what happened and the roles of those involved.
