Police have detained two men accused of attacking a school principal and threatening a female teacher at Bal Uddhar Secondary School in Kapan, Kathmandu.

The accused are Nishan Dahal, 36, originally from Barahakshetra Municipality-7 in Sunsari, and Dhruv Prasad Ghimire, 44, of Dudhauli Municipality-1 in Sindhuli.

Police said officers from Bouddha Police Circle went to the school after receiving a report of the incident and arrested both men.

Dan Bahadur Thapa, spokesperson for the Kathmandu District Police Range, said preliminary findings suggest Dahal verbally abused and threatened a female teacher at the school.

Police also allege that Dahal attacked the principal on Ghimire’s instructions, leading officers to arrest both men.

Police Secure Four-Day Remand

Police have obtained a four day remand to continue investigating allegations of indecent behaviour.

Investigators are examining the alleged assault and the part each suspect is said to have played.

The arrests followed a reported incident at the school in Kapan, where an alleged confrontation involving school staff took place on the premises.

Police have not released further information about the inquiry. The allegations against both men remain under investigation and will be addressed through legal proceedings.

The case has prompted concerns about the safety of teachers and school administrators and the importance of maintaining secure learning environments.
